Pauly, take a look at the thickness (or, thin-ness!!) of the chamber walls, and then look where the locking bolt cut is. I think you can use up to 10 grains of Unique with Uncle Elmer' s 250-grain cast semi-wadcutter, and kill deer NO SWEAT with this piece, BUT IF YOU TRY LOADS DESiGNATED FOR RUGER BLACKHAWKS OR TC CONTENDERRS, you are risking swollen chambers or a blown cylinder!! What? No 625' s in .45 Colt? There are plenty of them in the M 25' s!

Other than the hot " semi-custom" ammo you listed, all .45 Colt factory stuff is about the same. There may be a faster WW Silvertip load in .45 Colt, perhaps, but it has a lighter bullet. The .45 Colt needs heavy bullets or you are shooting pretty much a round ball!!
