Rob is right about that. Marginal hits happen quite often, in fact, more so than not I would say. If the Rage are helping with that then Im fine with it, but I shoot fixed heads and I have to be pretty darn good not to make a marginal hit. I have killed 20 deer with the bow using fixed heads, two marginal hits but both were recovered. I have made 5 horrible shots on deer in 20 years of bowhunting, not even marginal, just plain sorry shots, those deer were not recovered. 5 deer were hit and did not deserve it. Those days are long ago now, most were done when I was younger and less experienced. The best thing I can say is to practice every week for the whole year whatever heads you shoot and it will help you make better shots.
