Default RE: Browning B.A.R.

Personally the only thing that bothers me about it is its weight and OAL and in some cases a pretty poor trigger which cannot be readily adjusted unless done by the factory, also cleaning from the muzzle end gets a little old after awhile . I have had a number of them in calibers ranging from 270 thru 7 mag. I also know 4 people that use them and are long term users of them and never had a problem...the models in question are old style and new style BARs. I never ever had one jam on me hunting or at the range and I have not heard a complaint from the other users in that area or any other . In extreme cold weather use cleaning it and applying a quality synthetic gunoil and using it sparingly I see no reason for it to jam. After all our Military uses nothing but semi-full auto in conditions considerably tougher than hunting but they keep them clean . Very accurate. Now don' t get me started with the Brand X autoloaders..they are best reserved for crow bars , fence posts , tomato stakes etc.
