I spent all day building arrows in my home shop... after completing one dozen that I was intending to use for my whitetail setup this year, I started contemplating what I was going to do with the next dozen I'm taking to Colorado with me on my elk trip.
I decided to call up Muzzy and get a few dozen 50-grain brass inserts coming my way... and then thought, heck -- if they'll work so great for elk, I think I'll use 'em on my whitetail arrows as well. I ended up yanking all the inserts out before the epoxy could harden and cleaned the shafts real good with acetone and now they too are waiting on the same brass inserts.
They'll be tipped with a 100-grain MX-3, 50-grain Muzzy brass insert with a sweet custom-made-for-me wrap and three 4" MeanV barred feathers. Should hit like a Mack truck.
