I would think if you are planning on building your blinds any time before the season starts, you would be fine. My family has some shooting houses we built for gun season, they are painted plywood. The deer may notice them at first, but once they have been out for a while, the odor will go away and the deer will not pay them any mind. Hell, I have bow hunted out of a couple of them when it was raining and I felt like being a wuss, shot deer with a bow out of them. Go for it.
