I shoot them with my FMJs and don't use any adapters. You should be fine I think. Great head choice, you won't be sorry! Besides the great flight, they are tough as hell, killed two and a coon with the same head two years ago. I was sad when it was done, seemed to be a little lucky for me. I still use the ferrule, but the blades had to be retired due to an unfortunate incident with a rock.
