I have a .300wm BAR Safari and I love it. It' s equipped with a BOSS and I bought the unported weight which I use for hunting. When at the range, I use the ported weight and the recoil is much less than my .270. When shooting my handloads, I can tune the BOSS to shoot a 3/4 minute group. IMO that' s plenty tight for a hunting rifle. I' ve never had a problem with this gun cycling as some of the the other posts in this thread have mentioned. Downfall to the BAR is total weight. This gun weights about a lb more than a 700 BDL that I have in 7mm mag. with the same scope.
