I have had success hunting field edges quite a bit, especially with a decoy durring the rut. Usually secluded fields that are close to big buck travel corridors and bedding areas where you can pull them out with rattling and grunting.

Also, if they are using the field as a food source i have had good luck. Early season clover/alflafa or late season standing beans or foodplots...
