Schultzy, I always fail these test.....

1. ??????

2. 3 1/2

3. 3 1/2 +

4. 4 1/2

5. 4 1/2

#1, You got me...they are all good deer....Good luck with them this year!!!!
My guesses are just guesses also Tex!! Here's my take on them and there just opinions.

1. 5.5+- Reason being he's skinny and he's got one long nose on him. He's a fairly tall deer body wise also.

2. 4.5- He's a 150" buck and a fairly good size body, to big to be a 3.5 I think in my area.

3. 4.5+- Huge body and a huge melon as well. I don't think he'll ever be a 140" buck.

4. 3.5- He's very close to P&Y right now if not in. He seems to have a smaller body like a 3.5 year old (160lbs or so dressed). I passed this buck up.

5. 4.5- He's heavy rack wise and body wise, 200lb dressed deer I think.
Milkman.....They are all good deer....I just started looking at aging deer in the last couple years and it really throws me off a bit on these b/c of the body size that they are, down in texas where I hunt the bodies are small. Those being all I have had the experience judging on the hoof, I think I tried too hard to count for the body size of those midwestern deer....Around where I hunt, you know as soon as you see them if they are mature or not.....Thehardest distinction for me in my area is between 4 1/2 and 5 1/2......At our camp we have all sorts of publications on aging deer on the hoof but it is still very hard once they get above 3 1/2 for me.....Again....all good deer and good luck to you with them...
