NEVER USE PRESSURE while removing a tick, it will always cause the thick to spill it's contents ( salivy and other victim's blood ) into your body.
I use the O'tom tick twister.
it's an animal friendly way of removing the tick, hell, it even is friendly to the tick......
untill I burn it with a lighter.
this little gizmo goes with me on every hikeand it works, even with small ticks.
If the tick is in a "difficult to get at" kinda spot, I ask my girlfriend.
