Default RE: Arrow Grains?

ORIGINAL: luke/r

I have been reading alot of posts about people saying they like to shoot arrows at 400grs and up. I have a 60lb Guardian at 28in and my arrows are currently 334grs. They are GT XT Hunters,26.5in long,75gr heads,3 blazers and 4in wraps. Was wondering if you guys think this setup is ok or if I should look into a heavier arrow? My arrows fly great now and i'm shooting about 270fps. I am not concered about speed though just want some good wallop. Thank You.
From my calculations, if you took off a 10gr wrap (if it wieghts that much) and put on a 125gr tip, you would still be a tad stiff but much better than you are now. Right now your spine is way stiff and still way stiff for 100gr tip. The whipping you see could be incorrect arrow rest horizontal setting.
