RE: Ouch! String snapped- Replacement?
Where did the cable snap? Did the tear drop pull off the end? You can contact a string maker like Gibblet, but I think this will be of no use. These guys make strings, not cables.
You're likely going to have to hunt around to find someone who puts cables together. Some shop still do it, but they are few and far between. Best bet is to call Lancaster Archery Supply and talk to one of the tech reps there. They may make you a set of cables. And you should probably replace them both. Then order a string for it, but be sure to order one made of dacron or B50. Use fast flight and you'll break the limbs.
And don't be surprised if it gets costly. As I said, steelcables are old, old technology. The cables will cost more than the bow is worth.
