Default RE: Good News In PA

ORIGINAL: 1luckybuck

This was on the radio . maybe i got the numbers wrong , and maybe it wasn't an independant company ... I don't recall for certain . One thing I do recall for certain is that there was a vast difference between the the number of doe tag allocation and the number of actual deer/psm . You don't have to be a genius to figure this out , all you have to do is have hunted 10 years ago and compare it to hunting now . I live in Cambria county and hunt Bedford , and Somerset countys too . From time to time I got to Fulton county .I spend more time in the woods in a single archery season than most rifel hunters do their entire lives ! The deer just aren't there like they used to be .
Now Doug and BTB can be as smart as they want to be , but they can't blab away the fact that ; unless you have land and food plots to hunt in PA you gotta be DAMN LUCKY to get a deer now a days ! Sure , I could shoot a scrub rack or a doe alot of days on stand , well at one time I could have ! I have spent days on stand in awesomeplaces without seeing anything ! If you guys can dispute anything I said here , well I guess you are just going to have to show me how to hunt !!!!
very well said.i can show anyone miles of land in clinton/potter/cameron countys thathave no deer at all.

yes, habitat is not great,we all agree on that but that is not reason you dont see a deer for miles..

its OVERHARVEST OF DOE/FAWNS and no one is interested in PGC/DCNR that these areas a void of deer.

i know DCNR employees that made a statement to me.they said,KILL ALL THOSE S.O.B OF DEER ,KILL ALL OF THEM.

these were also graduates of PENN STATE too.

these people would not be talking that way UNLESS their supervisors approved of it.

its no wonder we are losing hunters.

a lot of fisherman are giving it up too.

did you know that a lot of streams may not be stocked ever again.
trout unlimted is putting pressure on to not stock trout anymore.

folks, we are losing our sport to SPECIAL INTERESTS.

many good sportsmen are being bought off with favors etc and our sportsmans clubs turning into hiking clubs and DCNR has got them right where they want them,so ,i dont see things getting any better for hunters.

you would not believe how many hunters have quit the local sportsmans clubs and joined the USP because the DCNR is taking over clubs.
