I live in SE Penna, Montgomery County near Audubon, Oaks, Trooper, Eagleville. I've been taking hour walks between 8:00 and 9:00 pm and usually see at least 5-8 deer. One day I saw 12 with 5 being bucks. Two 5 points andthree 4 points. 4 of the bucks were together. They only had 5 discernable points in early July. I'd say they'd have a good bit more by mid-September.
Our camp is in Sullivan County. I've seen a lot of does and no bucks. We usually don't see too many bucks until the rut, though. Thousands of acres of overgrown clear-cut, swamps, laurel and blueberry patches. No reason for a buck to come out of the cover until he's chasing does.
Oh, except for this one in the summer of 2006 but he was coming to a neighbor's corn pile. He ended up being taken about 5 miles away on the rifle opener and he was a perfect 5X5. A BIG 5x5
