Default RE: 13-Official Team 13 Thread

Well boys, it's getting to be glassing season... I was out last night for one more evening before I leave for Holiday.

I finally got access to groundhog hunt a big ridge that's about 700 yards across from one of my bowhunting farms. Where I shoot hogs is all fields, no woods, so I'm not disrupting anything over there. All the woods are across the road. This allows me to sit up there and crank groundhogs off of the back ridge, and glass the deer over on the next ridge - where I bowhunt sometimes.

Last night started off slow - killed 2 hogs. Here's a cool picture.

All I could see was the top of his head, peeking out of his hole right before dark. I had about 3/4" of head to shoot at, and I scalped him. He was a 12.5 pound boar, a whopper groundhog - biggest of the year so far. I know the farmer will be happy to havehimexterminated, b/c he had a hole dug that looked like a moon crater.

Back to the deer scouting - I had a mother and two fawns come out to feed at 8:45. Then 3 bucks came out at 9:00. It was a long way off, but they were all fairly small - the biggest one framed out around 10-12" wide.

Right at blackout, a bigger buck came out into the beans - looked like a smallish 2 year old - maybe 13-14". Even on low power, I could barely make his frame in the scope. I packed it up and went home. Be back in a week.

Anyway, you guys have a couple nice weekends. Hopefully, I'll get some pics of some European topless hotties for Team DH's enjoyment.
