RE: Remington Genesis
I doubt you would be disapointed w/a Genesis. I love mine and will not be getting rid of it anytime soon. I have shot about 5 or 6 different bullets (all sabots) with 3 or 4 different powders and they all shot well.(An inch or less at 50 yards)I have not shot conicals in it yet, though I will be on Saturday. Cleaning is a cinch. It takes me just a few min to clean it even when shootin' nasty Pyrodex.-andI'm very anal when it comes to cleaning my guns. It shoots Blackhorn very well. I've shot several different primers with it and BH and never once had the first misfire or hangfire. The triggers on the 3 that I've shot and handled break around 3.5 to 4 lbs. One had some creap in it but the other two did not.
Someone posted the reviews from Cabela's, you should read them. This board doesn't seem to like them for some reason.-I know there's a lot of very experienced people on here that know what they're talking about but I'm puzzled on this one. I personally know of two people that have soldthier MK-85 and an Omega to get the Genesis. But to each his own of course.Get what YOU like since you're the one that's going to be hunting w/it.
I have two complaints about the Genesis. 1) The ramrod which has an end that has to be turned around to use the jag and 2) they don't make a laminate stock that isn't a thumbhole. (I personally really don't like synthetic nor thumbhole stocks)
Hope this helped and good luck with your future purchase.
