Default RE: Remington Genesis

ORIGINAL: vaslugger

Just wondering what results any one has had
with the Remington Genesis. How accurate is it
and how easy is it to clean.Cabelas has a real
good price on them this month as I can get a
synthetic stock with stainlees barrel for around
280.00 and after rebate its around 255.00.I had
a Model 700 ML and was the most accurate I have
ever owned but was a chore to clean.I would
rather get a TC but just cant swing the money with
have a 7 year old son atthis time.Any input would
be much appreciated on this Remington Genesis
good or bad.Thanks Alot! Mike
Greeting again VaSlugger,

Since yourstrapped for money please consider a used gun from Williams Gunsight Co:

http://www.williamsgunsight.com/gunsights/813usedblkpowderguns.htm

you donot have to ship a BlackPowder gun via FFL. The have some good deals on thissite and folks say they are excellent to deal with. I know I was going to buy a FL from them and they told me I could keep the gun 3 days, shoot it clean it and ifI didn't like it return it. That is pretty good. I don't know if that is in writing, but a couple ofguys on this board have bought form them and they say they are trustworthy and excellent to deal wiht. Same folks who make the William Sight (open sights), and they have been around a long time. Good Company.

Another good rifle is a CVA Optima or Optima Pro at a good price. The Traditions pursuit Pro was onsale on the Traditions Web site for like $200 also, that would be a heck of a gun for theprice.

Consider this from a man who has 10rifles:

I like the Omega, because I like the TC guarantee, for life, just send it in and they fix it. I have used that on a TC flintlock and a my Omega, the trigger assembly was messed up.
Best Wishes on your selection.
