Default RE: OMG Look at these bucks

Unfortunately this is the way things are with these outfitters/fair chase hunts. (NOT ALL OF THEM) But most. They buy their deer from deer farmers, an bc they have such big properties, these big pen raised deer usually stay fairly close, and they at least get the genetics from the buck. I brought this topic up last year and caught a lot of grief from it. But as previously mentioned I know a Major PA deer farmer, and know for a fact that some big names in the tv show world(wont mention them again) have bought deer from him, taken them home in their horse trailer turned them loose, and shot them. Claiming state records, buck contests, and filming tv shows. This is the raw reality of these hunting shows. (Again i know not all of them) I am not trying to tick people off but this reality.

For example. Lee and Tiffany. If you watch their videos very close. They show you the ranch they are hunting at, the name etc. If you look up this ranch you will see its a hunting preserve etc. For example, if you have their DVD, on the second season, the very first episode of turkey hunting is done at a turkery preserve in Georgia. I am not knocking this show at all. I absolutely love Gettin Close with Tiffany and that guy she's with I buy their DVD's. But this is just one example, many of the shows you see on TV are this way. Its no secret. Not sure why I caught so much flack for talking about this last year, but honesty, I spend a ton of hours in the woods every year. In several different states. And i havent been able to come accross a 250+" buck let alone with a camera guy behind me and talking about it the whole time.

Its a kick in the balls I know, makes me aggrevated thinking about it. But this is the cold hard truth and reality of that "Industry" Ranches, preserves,tv shows, etc etc.

I salute the guys that say they wouldnt trade their own small buck or doe for a penned monster. Because I feel the same way!

Hope I dont p*ss anyone off with commenting on this subject again this year.
