You may be able to find an upper end Nikon with ED glass floating around for about that $. Check EBAY. It's not like a Swarovski top end, but very nice indeed. I had one like that... is was a black tactical model.
x2! If I had to make a Top 10 list of best deals I've ever scored, my Nikon 82mm from eBay would be on it. I got the angled82mm
and a 30x DS ep for $788. Almost too good to be true. I love the scope and I'm sure that Swaros are a little bit better, but to me not worth 2-3x the price. Be patient and wait for a good deal. If you buy them separately I would recommend the straight model over the angled, and the MC ep over the DS ep. Good luck and God bless.
