I've hunted so damn much with a muzzleloader that I sometimes cannot handle a repeating rifle really well.
I love the MLer also. Most of my buddies think I am crazy to go to Colorado (FG area near Meeker) with a single shot MLer in rifle season. But I feel that is my most accurate gun and with a 300g Barnes Origonal pushed at about 2400 fps with my Savage and 67g of 4198, it is a very lethal load, from what I have read onDougs Savage forum. Much more than a 180g 30-06 going 2700 fps.
