PRB's have done the job for Hundreds of years. No bullet including conicals, sabots have been used longer than the PRB.
Shot placement is king, penetration is queen. Your queen is not doing well in the penetration game.
Max effective range is about 52 yards I beleive with a Round ball before it falls below the 800 fpe need for effective kill. I know bullets can kill down to 500 fpe, but damage to vital organs and humane kills are not there for me at least. I will never use them again on deer size game, squirrels ok. Deer give me a sabot or conical.
