Since the flame design is (seemingly) the big stickler.....I'd say you've changed my mind. While I wouldn't chastise the OP for using them.....I can certainly understand your POV.

After 911 I got pretty (not enough though, it seems) well versed on the code (because we wanted to display the flag on our fleet vehicles). I wasn't aware that this type wording existed, though.....or I just skimmed over it.

I can see how it could be construed to be "offensive" to "some"....especially those with your credentials.
