i think your both right and wrong i have seen where they say deer can and do live on small areas 300 or even less
but in some areas they live on large 1000 plus acres

1,000 acres is only like less than 1.5 square miles.. thats not very large.
If you believe a whitetail lives only on 300 acres of land you are greatly fooling yourself.
I can walk a slow pace at about 1 mile in 45 minutes. If you believe a whitetail does not travel that distance (especially at night)... well then your understanding of a whitetail is very under-rating of the animal and borders naivete.
