RE: Ghost bucks
All sorts of deer exist. In my area, there are very few large property (>500 acres). All properties see quite a bit of use throughout the year. Eventually, those bucks that stick to a relatively small area are found out and they rarely live to die of old age. I beleive that the 'ghost' bucks some see (and harvest) are the deer with a widely fluctuating home range. They are here one day, and a week later half a mile or a mile away. Some people still see them...but by moving constantly no one zeros in on them.
