Default RE: Ghost bucks

don't get how some hunters think they know exactly what they have in there woods. Trail cameras don't tell the whole story by any means. Or just because your not seeing anything doesn't mean they are not there either. These old mature bucks are allot smarter then people give them credit for!!
I think that quotepretty much sums up all the debate. We usually put up 5-6 trail cams up on our 244 acre hunting woods and last year I killed an average 8 point during rifle season. That buck never showed up on any of our trail cams. It was a distinct buck, too, one that we would have recognized right away. I'm certain this guy showed up because the land bordering us to the East is heavilypressured by hunters during gun season and that's why he was running my way. Before I shot him, I saw a "glimpse", and when I say glimpse,I meanit was one of those times in the woods you don't really believed happened because it happened so quick. I saw a glimpse of a "monster" trotting through the brush in the river bottoms between our land and the land to the east of us. He came out of nowhere but was on the move because of all the pressure to the east of us. This was the biggest deer I have ever seen and I know we haven't had him on the cameras because we haven't had a big buck like that ON our camera. So, to make this come to an end, hunting pressure and a little bit of luck lets these "monsters" or ghosts present us with a view of them, though be it, a quick one.
