I have an older mossy 835 and like it , but recently bought a Browning BPS. I plan on comparing them this year. My buddy bought a mossberg 835 ulti mag last year that hits a foot high and a foot right of the point of aim at 30 yards. That is a well established problem with them the last couple of years, ( not hitting anywhere near point of aim ) but I hear they are pretty good about fixing the problem if you send a problem gun back. I would explore other options suggested on the board within your budget.
