Default RE: 44 mag reloading

I've used H110 with 240 Hornady XTP and Remington 2 1/2 primers very successfully. With the Hornady reloading specs for this combination for a Ruger .44 mag Redhawk, I've settle at 23.3 g of H110. I understand that with a slower burning powder like this, you can obtain somewhat faster bullet results safely.
Stick to what the loading manual is telling you to use precisely and work up whatever powder and combination you decide on.
I did find that these Remington 2 1/2 primers the Hornady reloading manual called for with this caliber were consistently firing with this Redhawk I bought new last year. You may not have that much issue with the Super Redhawk with the separate springs for trigger and hammer. Redhawk has a single spring for trigger and hammer. I think that I was getting an intermittent light strike on some hand loads with WLP that weren't consistently firing in DA mode. Since I switched to the 2 1/2 for this revolver, I consistently get fires in DA, as I did beforewith in SA mode.
