I have been experimenting with bullets sine 1962, and I have my own guidelines, for pure lead bullets I dont go over 1500fps for regular jacketed bullets I switch to bonded at 1800fps if I can the one exception I make to this is the 40cal 200 gr SW it has preform well for me on deer and bear at high speed for a muzzle loader, but should they start making it bonded I would switch to bonded. I just wish they would or that some body would start making a 125 gr 40 cal bonded or copper bullet. Lee
