and see if it is legal in Oregon, most states that have primitive weapons only season say "side-lock" or FL only (PA where I hunt for example is FL only), but make no restriction as to what the sidelock is igniting (musket cap or shot shell primer). This improvementwould give you a lot more "fire in the hole". You will need lots of practice, so allow for several outings to get comfortable with your gun.
