I know in IL you need to own I think 80 acres to get landowner tags and qualify as a "landowner" 15 acres wouldn't cut it here.

As far as non/res vs res, since you live in Ohio, I would say you'll never qualify as a resident of IN, only option is as said above.....if you'll qualify for landowner tags.
