Default RE: Who Shoot's The .308 For Deer?

I have a Remington 760 carbine in 308, and it's always been my favorite deer rifle. I use Hornady factory loaded ammunition with 150 grain spire points. It's a surprisingly accurate rifle, and I've taken deer out to 250 yards (although most opportunities for me are under 100 yards).

I just gave this rifle to my son, and replaced it with a Marlin 336C in 30-30. I have other centerfire rifles, and I don't need one that shoots 4000 fps with 3500 ft lbs of energy to kill a deer.
