If you were familiar with their videos and hunting teams, you'd know that many hunts shown were filmed on public land.
I have seen their videos and do not care for them nor their TV show one bit nor the Drury brothers themselves.
I do not like the fact that they have turned hunting into a full blown competition and IMHO it is bad for the sport. Because of this wide spread commercialization of hunting, others areequally at fault,it has become increasingly dificult for average people to gain access to good private hunting lands. What was once easily accessed by simply being polite and a hand shake is increasingly turning into who has the most money available to lease "X" property and once the lease is up itthen turns into "Well they are offering me more money that you are so unless you can beat their offer of $20 per acre you will have to find some where else to hunt". Never mind the hard work that you have put into that land to make it a great hunting spot for the last 5 years.
However, I wouldnt waste my money to watch jim shockey, fred bear, chuck adams or stand potts hunt. There is no equal to Drury..
Why, because they hunt public wilderness after truely wild animals and not grain fed deer? Because they don't sit there and brag about how they couldn't have possibly made that shot with any other bow, gun, ML, arrow broadhead, bullet, grunt call, doe bleat,or what ever and then completely change bow companies the next year and tell us the same BS about that new bow company?
YEs they all have their sponsors but I never hear Shockey tell me that his TC is the only gun that could have made the 200 yard shot on a Thar or moose, etc...
Stan Potts is, IMO, a bigger blabber mouth that any one else on Television hunting. Except maybe Roger Ranglin(sp)and Ted Nugent. I like Ted because of what he stands for concerning the 2nd and the fact that he isn't scaredto discuss the topic with any one what so everbut don't care for his hunting shows too much.
Sure there is equal to Drury........ Most all of the shows on television today are nothing but a 30 minute infomercial just like their show.
