So I had a bit of free time this afternoon and I swung by Cabelas only to find that our store had finally recieved a shipment of Gateway Razyr feathers. Some of you may know that I've been interested in these feathers for sometime, but have not found anyone locally who carried them.



I promptely came home and began the process of stripping off my old wraps and fletching to make way for my FMJ's new colors. After stripping three, I wrapped and fletched them.



Giving them a few minutes to dry, I got things situated and then went into the backyard for a little comparison. Apparently I'm shooting a little right, but I think thats beside the point. (Yeah, my Block 4x4 has seen better days. Way better days.) I shot my first group with my arrows still fletched with Blazers and wasn't too suprised at the group. I shot the next three fletched with the razyrs and was suprised to see the group shrink.



Showed them off to the family and was lectured on the fact that feathers suck; they make noise, they'll flatten in wet weather, blah, blah, blah. We'll see. So far I'm liking them.
