Default Moviestar on Saturday

I took my buddy for the 3rd time bowhunting gobblers on Saturday. The 1st two hunts ended with the same results-Misses.

Saturday....We set up the DB blind on a the head of ridgetop where 2 ridges came together and placed " sexy lexy" out about 10 yrds. We had 3 gobblers on the adjecant ridge and 1 of those gobblers came down the side of the ridge and let us video him for a 3-4 minutes while he strutted and gobbled at my calls. He then turned and proceeded to return to his ridgetop where we could only see him strut off and on. I was giving him the silent treatment and it was working perfectly. He was growing real impatient with the hen that had quit calling.

It had been about 10 minutes from when he had went back to the ridgetop and I looked out the side of the blind and told my buddy to grab his bow because the tom was coming-FAST!

I grabbed the video camera and videoed the tom as he come off the ridge through a slight depression and toward our ridge. The tom was coming so fast that I had to call to him at 30 yards to get him to strut to slow down. The only problem was that he was on headed toward the backside of the blind. I had my buddy close the front window and while videoing I reached up and opened 1 back window when the tom went behind a tree.

The tom proceeded into the an open spot in the timber and my buddy let him have it at 17 yrds. He was a 2yr old that was born for the movies.

Our video turned out AWESOME. The gobbler strutted most of the time inside of 30yrd so all of the footage is of a spittin' , drummin' , struttin' , lovesick tom. It easily rivals anything I have seen from any company and it is OURS! We have about 7 minutes total.

Here is a pic.
