Oh Man, You guys need to try the Burris Signature Series rings. They have plastic inserts for self aligning. The 30mm even have 10 minute offset inserts for those really long shots. I know you're gonna get scared hearing the "Plastic" insert but believe me they work very well. I havea seton a gun with a lot of recoil and have no problems.

Yeah of which the steel is pot metal just watch pieces of the lugs shear as you twist them in place and they are bulky to boot. If your going to buy bulky rings just buy Tactical rings. Now if that Burris ring was made of the same material as a Sako Optilock then you would have said something. I have never had a scope slip in one of those ever.
