It sounds like either the bore was loose or it was a defective sabot.
Since the sabot didn't fall out of the barrel, maybe it was just a bad batch of sabots with loose interior cavitytolerances or some other similar defect.
That doesn't necessarily mean that all of them willbe defective though.
