My alfalfa plot is pretty much not accessible by vehicle and is 3/4 acre in size. I dont see myself spraying by hand for weeds ( I dont have 4 wheeler or tractor). I have a lawn tractor that I pull a bushhogger with and would be cutting it anywhere from 10 to 14 inches.

I cut my clover down to 6 inches and it is growing quite well after the weeds were choked.

I went and looked at the alfalfa today and it hasnt bloomed yet, so would it be best to wait until its bloomed before cutting or now. I will wait until I know its gonna rain so the soil and alfalfa wont dry out.

I may be a bit more experienced next year, as this is my first with the alfalfa!
