Go with a well made 2 blade cut on impact. DON'T go with an expandable.
always makes me sad to see someone lose an elk...especially when they could have made a small decision that would have have DRAMATICALLY different results...
we tracked a bull last year for 7.5 hours...hands and knees...AFTER we waited 1+ hours for him to bleed out, as we knew the shot was a little far back...
upon retrieval, was a decent shot, not as far back as the one above...so, cant really blame the expandable here, but then dont knwo where the entrance/exit wound is on this bull....but clearly bloated and more than likely wasted all the meat...
for me, shoot Muzzy's as they are TOUGH, but there are others that are just as tough, but agree with teh predominant posts, shoot TOUGH BH's these critters are NOT deer...
