RE: Wayne Zaft Being Investigated
TFOX, when you get right down to brass tacks, NOBODY questioned P&Y' s authority as the prime bowhunting records keeping organization until so many people decided they wanted to shoot 75-90% letoff. Since P&Y refused to budge on their position that letoff in excess of 65% does not constitute fair chase bowhunting equipment and puts the high letoff compound in the same category as crossbows, now it seems everyone is asking that question. But that is a VERY recent turn of events.
Until just a few years ago, there was no question about P&Y' s authority as the last word for bowhunting records and, frankly, I don' t see any reason to question it now. Someone that thinks they have a chance to shoot a book buck can use P&Y ' legal' equipment and reap the possible benefits. It' s the guys that don' t even consider the possibility, shoot a booker with non-compliant gear and then get P.O.' d that they can' t enter it that raise all the stink. Especially when it' s a big enough animal that product endorsements could be on the table. Again, greed and money raise their ugly heads.
