Default RE: Hunting..a number 1 priority?

Interesting take on all of this#1 prioritystuff. Like all other things in life, it is all about moderation and balance,IMO.

If God is always first, how could you ever justify hunting even once during the season. I am sure there is ALWAYS a higher calling at any instance that would benefit God's work more than hunting.

And if my family ALWAYS comes first, then I am sure there are better things I could be doing at any instance that would be for the betterment of my family than hunting.

Yes, my family and a relationship with God are more important to me than hunting, and over a course of a year they get more of my attention.

But while I am a regular church goer and active in Sunday School, I seldom attend from September through December. I am sure there are those who look down at me for doing so, but I am comfortable with my decision.

The same with my family. I have a wonderful relationship with both my wife and son and we do many things together and as a family. I don't miss my son's activities during hunting season and I am there for all the functions that are important to my wife during the season as well.

But at the same time,I am selfish with some of my time as well as I COULD spend more time with them during the fall than I do.But I CHOOSE otherwise.

Again, its called balance and moderation.
