Good first roundChap. Looks like shots 3, 4 & 5 had less than a one-inch horizontal spread even after theheight adjustments which could easily have had some effect on horizontal. That's great for iron sights. I'm with Bronco - it would have been neat to see what kind of group you would have gotten without any sight adjustments for those last three shots. Oh well, next time. I love 300 grain GDs. Looks like it's going to be your hunting bullet for that barrel.
I'm not a fan of fiber optic sights, but the ones on the .45 GM LRH I just got for my Renegade seem pretty decent. I hope to have its virgin shooting session next week end with 285 grain Great Plains bullets. I have a pack of crush ribs for it, but haven't been able to find any 180 grain GDs or XTPs locally.
I like the 300g GD also, they hold together excellent, are inexpensive and shoot very well in most rifles I have. As for the fiber optic, I wish the front sight was a bit smaller, but I can hit at 70, so I am sure it will hit at 50. Which is about a far as I plan on shooting. Chap
