The only difference you would notice is in recoil, either choice is PLENTY big for hogs of any size, I would make your caliber choice more on what other animals you might be hunting for example if you plan on hunting elk I would definetely go with the 7mm. Just think about how else you might use the gun and make your choice from there. My last hog was shot deader than hell never even took a step but just fell over using a 25-06 with a barnes triple shok at about 120 yards.
