So it looks like just a re-stock job only. Can't see if there's a different trigger from the pics. Looks like the military safety. Bolt looks as if it's a Model 38 cavalry/carbine curved handle but not cut and turned for a scope, but can't be absolutely sure from the pics. And DEFINITELY the original 96 barrel.
I'd jump all over that for $100.00!
You could always find a military stock and have a real nice military conversation piece, or leave it as is and have the deer camp's dedicated long distance iron sight tool.
