Default RE: Zaft Replicas Considered Illegal

How about this?

(By Bill S.) A while ago the Manitoba Better Business Bureau and the Manitoba Consumers Bureau were investigating a comapny by the name of Trophy Whitetail Reproductions after receiving a complaint regarding the Zaft Buck replica. Apparently the buck was being described as being the new #1 typical by bow and #2 in the world. It said this right beside the deer replica in the description provided for it. This claim was forced to be withdrawn before charges were laid because now all it says is that it is a typical record archery deer (and it doesn' t give the organization although it' s a pretty good guess that it is BuckMasters). The site where this can be verified is www.whitetail.replicas. I' m also including a link to the original statements by the Manitoba Better Business Bureau and the Manitoba Consumers Bureau regarding this issue. I think this confirms once and for all that P&Y have denied Zaft' s claim.

His supporting link....

(by deerslayer) This is interesting. The Manitoba Consumers Bureau are investigating Trophy Whitetail Reproductions after receiving a complaint regarding the fact that the Zaft buck was being sold and promoted as the new world record. Initially the Better Business bureau was planning on investigating it but it has been referred to The Consumers bureau, a government agency. The initial take from the BBB of Manitoba was this.....QUOTE " The matter, as outlined, is beyond the purview of the Better Business Bureau. However we feel that Trophy Whitetail Reproductions are in breach of Consumer Law and have therefore passed this along to the Manitoba Consumers Bureau, 302 - 258 Portage Avenue, Winnipeg, MB, R3C 0B6. Phone #(204) 945-3800, Toll Free 1(800) 782-0067. Fax #(204) 945-0728. We regret being unable to be of any assistance to you but believe that The Manitoba Consumer Bureau will look into it." END QUOTE The Manitoba consumers bureau had this to say upon receipt of the complaint from the BBB. Quote " Thank you for forwarding your concern. We will review the complaint and will keep you advised as to who and how it will be handled. Thank you!" END QUOTE
Though I do not really see a problem with the link, I think the quotes provided should serve to promote further discussion....and, ofcourse, you can provide the link privately for anyone that wishes to see it.
