Even at $100.00 that is a good buy unless it is all hacked up.
If it is all military, even if not matching numbers, you'll have a piece of history in a great round. You mentioned it was re-stocked.... was it a sporter re-stock or original military re-stock?
The 96's in original configuration are pleasure to shoot with the longer barrel, military configuration they have extra wieght and the long barell that make accurate iron sight shooting possible. And unless the barrel is in real tough shape it'll probably shoot better than you can.
