Default Box Call Tuning

I have a Lynch World champion box that is one of the sweetest sounding boxes I have heard. It took me a while to get it there but it is " there" .

It seems that I have to chalk it quite often and I have been told that if you clean the paddle and rub it with a violin resin?? and then chalk the chalk will stick better and the paddle with grab the sounding boards better.

Anyone tried this??? I hate to screw up my call.
