I almost wish I could get that lucky. I would love to be where you are at right now. You have a car, and you arelooking for a truck. Buyers market on those things now. You could get a better than beater truck for a beater price right now. I don't want to sell my truck cause I will get beat up on the price. So I am looking for a car or the just gonna haul off and buy a bike. Its been awhile since I have been on two wheels, but to save 100 plus dollars in the couse of 300 miles is easy math.
I have been debating for a while about the same thing as you Ben (getting a dual sport), but there may be a much bigger purchase on the horizon

You better have some room in that budget b/c gas and consumer goods are at a bargain right now compared to what they will be this fall...
No kidding. It's scary to think of what it's going to be like in two years. If history repeats itself, however, gas should drop a little in the fall months once the travel season is over. Won't be much, but I don't think it will skyrocket continually. If our dollar would just strengthen that would help a little of everything.
