Some people like tabs for a cleaner release, but they lose them when hunting, I think that is the point.
I don't think I've lost a tab in 40 years of bowhunting. I have dropped them out of a treestand and that's why I carry extras in my pack and license pouch. I do think it's very nice and "professional" looking. I don't know if I'd like it wornover a jersy glove while hunting.
