This is the camp we used to rent ('70s/'80s)from the owners who live up the road from it. It was called "Cobblestone Camp". It was made from the rocks (cobblestones) that came from the creek behind the camp.
I haven't been back up there in a lot of years, but the memories will NEVER fade. I'll never forget how I would look forward to hunting up there!! We wouldsee bear, turkey, grouse, and a ton of deer. The cabin is still there. It's in Bradford Co, not far from Towanda,Pa. State Game Lands #36. Kellogg Mtn/Stone Mtn were right there, near the little town of Powell. How I miss that little cabin.
Sorry about the pic quality, it's froma scan.
Jeff - That's only about 15 miles from my camp. I know that area
really well. I drive through Powell on 414 when going to my camp. It's beautiful there indeed, that's really the same valley that my camp overlooks, Powell is just on the other end of it.
Small world Matt. I knew your place wasn't too far from Cobblestone Camp. I once climbed to the top of Stone Mountain and had a view of the cabin that I will never forget! It looked like a little doll house out of a story book. I'll go to my grave with that vision, literally!

Beautiful country up there. The deer numbers aren't what they were in those "good old days" though.[&o]You know, when it used to snow for every opening day?
