Thank you all, and again more great pics of some beautiful animals. I knew it was just a matter of time before he met his demise. Arthur was starting to kick his butt in his older years and the summers were getting harder on him. Where he was ran over was 3.5 miles from the house. Me and the wife had driven seperate to my daughters ball game, we came home through a small town 3.5 miles from home, i got home about five minutes before she did. She calls me and said you aint gonna believe it but Boomer is in town. We live way out in the country. She hauled him home and said he was chasing a chocolate lab in heat. I locked him up for a day and a half before letting him out. He dissapered again but we could not find him for the next two days. The third day me and the kids were back in town looking for him. Word got out to the local sheriff, he flaged me down and was the bearer of bad news about him getting hit. seems a guy was walking his dogs late at night and found him in the hwy half paralized, they were going to take him to the vet but got to feeling around on him and could feel his back was broken and he had no feeling when touched. After contacting the sheriff they put him down. The man was nice enough to haul him out in the country wrap him in a blanket, and bury him at 1.00 am beside a tellephone pole. He had tears in his eyes when he told me what happened and showed me his grave. A better person couldnt have found him

I thanked him for doing the right thing.
